EmpowHERing girls to Break Systems, not just Barriers!

Our Story

EmpowHERto is a youth-focused nonprofit on a mission to provide unsupported young women of color with the knowledge, alliances, and audacity to redefine power, transforming their lives and dismantling systemic inequities.

We are reimagining what it means to educate the next generation through real-world skills, representation, and holistic support that reflects who they are and where they are from.

EmpowHERto BLK is our newest initiative created exclusively for Black girls and young women, offering culturally grounded programs that celebrate identity, build confidence, and expand opportunity.

Through EmpowHERto BLK, we’re deepening our commitment to equity by creating intentional spaces for Black girls to dream bigger, expand opportunity, and flourish in wellness, tech, education, and wealth-building.

Support Services

AdvisHER

Navigating the future can be a daunting task for young girls, but our biweekly mentorship program, AdviseHer, can help them develop sustainable goals and plans for a fulfilling future. Together, we offer girls the opportunity to connect with a personalized female mentor who is an expert in their respective fields, providing them with valuable guidance and support.

Wellness Workshops

Our wellness workshops provide BlPOC girls with safe, supportive spaces to focus on their mental, emotional, and physical health. Through interactive workshops, small-group sessions, and school-based events, participants learn practical tools for stress management, self-care, healthy relationships, and confidence-building.

In addition to our workshops, we host community-based wellness events that bring together girls, families, and local leaders to celebrate health, healing, and resilience.

Development Support

The Development Support Department is dedicated to ensuring every participant has the guidance, resources, and encouragement needed to thrive academically, personally, and emotionally. This department houses our AdvisHER mentorship program, academic counseling, tutoring services, and wellness workshops, all designed to provide holistic support tailored to the unique needs of BIPOC girls.
