Holiday Gift Guide: Small Toronto Businesses Edition

By Lucie Huang

As December rolls in and the holiday season starts to sneak up on us, the stress of gift-giving can start to become overwhelming. But, there are ways to make it less daunting and even enjoyable

With more and more big corporations dominating shopping culture, many small businesses are at risk of losing jobs and profit. Just by purchasing at a local business, you are supporting the livelihoods of community members, making new connections with entrepreneurs, and changing the norms around shopping (not to mention the fact that small businesses are able to provide more unique and high quality products!). They’re much more likely to source their materials from local providers, so you can rest assured you’re getting high value for every dollar. Offering you a better shopping experience overall, they are definitely an overlooked resource when it comes to buying quality, thoughtful gifts.

But don’t take our word for it, check them out for yourself! Below are just a few local businesses to hit up in the Toronto area this winter. Get that perfect gift quicker, and maybe even find something for yourself, from these inspiring, mindful brands.
