EmpowHERto welcomes new members to the Board of Directors

EmpowHERto has welcomed five new members to the Board of Directors at our Ft. Lauderdale branch. Each one brings a wealth of experience to their role and a passion for helping young womxn and girls gain the skills and experience needed to become future leaders. Here’s what they hope to accomplish as new members of the board.

Jason Grynbaum 

Jason is the Chief Financial and Strategy Officer at Community Care Plan. He is a healthcare innovator transforming value based care delivery and whole person population health. Jason leads the finance function through rapid growth, executing go-to-market strategy and engaging provider/payor patient centered alignment for underserved communities. 

Through spreading awareness, Jason hopes to “achieve health equity by prioritizing education, health literacy and economic stability in the community.”

Manuela Thomas

Manuela is a public health practitioner with 5+ of health promotion experience, leading to publications and conference presentations. Experience emphasizes working for state, local, and tribal health services, nonprofits, and universities.

Joining the EmpowHERto organization, Manuela hopes to “use my knowledge and experience to optimize EmphowHERto’s work of improving the lives of girls and young women.”

Martha Jeifetz 

Martha brings a broad international experience of 27+ years as a Human Resources Executive in global corporations and is passionate about addressing health inequities among marginalized communities. Her experience emphasizes working for state, local, and tribal health services, nonprofits, and universities both domestically and internationally. 

As a board member, Martha is looking forward to using her background and expertise to help implement and optimize the organization’s strategic plan, as the organization’s mission aligns with her personal passions and desire to help girls and young womxn maneuver around systemic barriers.

Shital Parikh Mars

Shital has over 15 years of executive leadership experience with specific expertise in public companies, start-ups, tech development, and healthcare. Ms. Mars was CEO, Board Member of Progressive Care Inc (OTCQX: RXMD) for 5 years leading it through successive years of growth and achievement and is now an Executive Coach and Management Consultant for start-ups and healthcare organizations.

Joining the organization, Shital is looking forward to making a difference for women and girls in my community.

Kenneth Joyner

Kenneth is the CEO of  We Care Support Service. He founded a nonprofit and has extensive experience in the nonprofit space, having worked with organizations for over 10 years. Mr. Joyner is also an expert in the vending machine industry by way of his successful company Joyner Vending and recently did a mini documentary with CNBC. 

Joining EmpowHERto, he looks forward to providing help and support to the community while building meaningful relationships.
