EmpowHERto Welcomes New Board of Directors Members

EmpowHERto has welcomed three new members to the Board of Directors at our Toronto branch. Each one brings a wealth of experience to their role and a passion for helping young womxn and girls gain the skills and experience needed to become future leaders. Here’s what they hope to accomplish as new members of the board.

Lori Williams

Lori is founder and President of ROAR Beverages Canada and has previously held leadership roles at Coca Cola, LoyaltyOne, Bell Canada and KPMG in the areas of Strategy and Corporate Development. Lori brings diverse international experience and holds an MBA from Booth School of Business at University of Chicago.

Lori is passionate about protecting and changing the perception, treatment and status of womxn.  In her adult life, Lori is and has been a coach, a mentor, and an inspiration for many womxn both personally and professionally. She believes we can create change by reframing conversations and empowering girls with knowledge and tools that support confidence, self-awareness, and self-sufficiency.   She is excited to work with the like-minded amazing team at EmpowHERto to help the organization continue to impact the next generation of empowered girls.

Rana Danesh

Rana is the Marketing and Brand Director at Food Cycle Science. She has 20+ years of corporate leadership experience working in communication, marketing and business strategy. Rana is a champion of mentoring and building up her colleagues and peers around her by connecting people and ideas across industry boundaries and country borders. 

“I want to help the organization fulfill a long-term goal to provide a resource center in every city across the country for young women and girls to go to for support and guidance. They are the potential leaders of our future and we have a responsibility to give them every opportunity possible to help them succeed and to pay this success forward to the next generation.”

Greg Hood

Greg is the CEO and Founder of Leviplate. He has spent several years scaling organizations of varying sizes both domestically, Internationally in multiple sectors. As a serial entrepreneur and investor, he has run one of Canada’s preeminent innovation and commercialization entities. Having also helped raise four very strong willed daughters, he values the importance of supporting the future leaders of tomorrow.
