An Exciting Partnership for our Fort Lauderdale Location with The Awesome Foundation in Support of Girls’ Mental Wellbeing

By EmpowHERto

Young womxn face the growing pressure, both online and offline, to navigate womanhood in today’s world. These challenges are certainly compounded as we continue to grapple with an ongoing pandemic.

As we continue our efforts to create a safe environment for girls to grow in, we are excited to announce that our Fort Lauderdale office has received a $1,000 grant from The Awesome Foundation. The grant will be used to support our EmbraceHER mental health program, which aims to provide therapists, coaches, and additional support to young womxn and girls to reinforce their emotional and mental wellbeing.

“This grant will allow us to get the marketing needed to promote this program to the community. Mental health has been an issue for many throughout this time, especially for teens and young adults, and EmpowHERto wants to make a difference,” says founder Janeen Brown.
Formed in 2009, The Awesome Foundation is a global community advancing initiatives through $1,000 grants in a wide range of areas including arts, technology, community development and more. You can learn more about The Awesome Foundation and the work they do here.
